Ed's experience was not a near-death experience, (NDE)! It was a real visit to Heaven,(Yes, Heaven IS a real place!) and NOT some mythical place. He wanted to write a story about Heaven and so he prayed to God and asked to visit Heaven, (Write what you know). God answered that prayer. He learned that everything in Heaven makes music... everything makes a joyful noise unto the Lord. Heaven is a joyful place. Come and follow Ed as he describes the fantastic things he saw, heard, felt, and smelled. Come on!!

This fascinating book is the testimony of one man's trip to heaven and the wonderful things he saw there. This book is needed for these endtimes that we are living in today. I believe that at this present time, God is giving many people a sneak peek of the things of eternity--both the glories of heaven, and the horrible things of hell. This book, written by Ed Gaulden, was a real encouragement and comfort to me. I learned some things about heaven through his testimony that I never knew before, and the details in the book that I did know about were in perfect harmony with both what the Bible says about heaven as well as other people's testimonies about heaven. Ed talked about the New Jerusalem being 1,500 miles long, wide, and high. He talked about the River of Living Water. He talked about paradise with its green flora and "wrinkles"--hills and mountains. He talked about seeing his future mansion. He talked a little about the future 1,000-year reign of Christ on earth, the rebellion that would follow, and the New Heaven and Earth. Ed Gaulden is 100 percent sound in his doctrine. I also appreciate Ed's quoting from the King James Version of the Bible, which is by far, the most accurate English translation we have today. I also appreciate how Gaulden gave a clear gospel invitation at the end of the book to receive Christ as Savior.With that being said, the quality of the copyediting of this book is far below where it should be in comparison of the wonderful message of the book. There are a number of typos, awkward sentences due to omitted words, and punctuation problems. Mr. Gaulden would do well to have a professional copyedit done on his book, then the message would be more forceful and get a wider hearing. The editing would get only a two-star rating from me, and I rate the book five-stars despite the technical problems in the editing. I highly recommend this book as an inspiration to the Body of Christ to press on toward the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ.

If we read the Bible we would know that Heaven is a joyful place to go. This book builds on the Bible I think. Good reading.
The author did an incredible job describing heaven even with a limited vocabulary. I.E.;. "Other colors dazzled. Colors I have never seen. These new colors were indescribable! The city sparkled like a pure cut crystal diamond. Bright and shiny are such dull words! Simply put, the golden city glowed with a precious beauty. It gleamed and glittered within the gold sphere".
Thank you for writing this account of your experience. God is so good to us. His grace is amazing for showing you heaven. I am glad to hear of your experience in heaven.
I had a dream after my dad died in which I did not see heaven but I saw my father boarding a party boat where many people were joyfully celebrating his arrival. As soon as his foot hit the deck of the boat he became super healthy and plump the way I remembered him before he wasted away from the cancer. He was so happy and loved. I had a sense that he was surrounded and celebrated by loved ones and friends that went before him. Bless God, He is so good to us.
I love reading accounts of Heaven. I have little doubt this man experienced it. However, he did not see or experience Hell; yet, he writes with 100% belief that it is as real. He also uses his book to proselytize born again Christianity, in the last few pages, as an only means into Heaven although Jesus did not tell him this in his experience. So, his own beliefs colored his story quite a bit. Although his writing style was adequate, many, many words were missing as if he may not have been an English speaking person (?). It should have been much better proofread.
Greatly detailed descriptions of heaven. Highly recommended for everyone, believer or non believer. A must for all readers of NDE's.
This is such an uplifting writing! It reminded me of descriptions of heaven my grandfather would tell me when I was a child. As an adult, I wondered where he got his information. This is the first place I have found some of the very same things he talked about. Of course there are many others that he didn't. I will read this short piece again for I am sure there are details I need to revisit. Let this speak to your soul and help you find peace!
It was a torrential rainstorm when author Ed Gaulden, in his study of heaven asked the Lord to show him glimpses, that his prayers were to be answered. Today he shares in his revised 1991 edition the experiences of what he saw and how the Lord wanted him to express it in words.
In his dream God let him see a one-dimensional view of his future mansion in heaven. He states in the book "No human language is able to handle a description of heaven and neither can we understand the infinite love of God toward us". While he sat up in bed his soul and spirit traveled while his body lay in quiet slumber. He had the sensation of flying while being inside a walled tunnel made of brillant stars. Moreover, he indicates that heaven is inside a transparent golden sphere where God's house resides. Through the sphere was beautiful spring-green land. Light originates from a cube-shaped city he states, within the beautiful crystal bubble.
In Paradise he found himself standing on a vast green plain with trees growing and colorful flowers. The angel would point to a country home that would be his mansion some day surrounded by beautiful flower gardens and a stream. As he was led underwater he found he could breathe. Shortly afterward he would return to earth. This gives the reader a taste for their eternal home and an awe for the beauty to behold that awaits all who trust in Him.
If you find your heart not right with the Lord there is a sinners prayer at the end of the book.
